Other Activities to do with Chicka Chicka:

Give students the following form. Have your students fill their name in the blank. Take a picture of the students holding a palm tree or coconut. Assemble all of the pages in a class book, entitled, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Look Who's In Mrs. ___________'s Room.

Give students a baggie with the letters in their name. 1st have them see if they can make any other words with the letters. What words can they make? Next, give them a palm tree to color in. Then have
them glue the letters on the tree.

Write each student's name in bubble letters and have them fill in the letters with as many
pictures as they can draw, of things that start with the beginning letter of their name.

Fill a pail with sand and magnetic letters. Have students pull out a letter, say its name and a word that starts
with that letter.

Yummy Chicka Trees: Give each student a sugar wafer cookie and 5 apple slices. Students use the cookie
as the trunk of the tree and the apple slices as the leaves.
